The greatest army in the world

With all the rhetoric, with all the things in the news, all that we're hearing of the buildup of a powerful armada in the Caribbean, ships, aircraft carriers, planes, marines in the Caribbean. All that is great, but I want to talk about the greatest army in the world. The greatest general in the world.

Throughout the Bible, as we'll share from 1 Samuel (1 Samuel 22-23), and we may get into Judges 7 (Judges 7), and you'll hear some of the other ministers sharing other scriptures, the greatest general in the entire universe, his name is Jesus Christ. And in Revelation we see him coming back riding on a white horse with a great army behind him (Revelation 19:11-14).

We wanted to start this way because there is a great army arising in the earth. It started and it's intensifying. The battles are getting greater. But even as the battles get greater, we're seeing greater victories in the kingdom of God.

These men have been with Jesus

When the Sanhedrin council was questioning, intimidating and threatening Peter and John, after they caused a lame man to walk, after they flogged them, one of the things they said was, we can see that these men have been with Jesus (Acts 4:13). They took notice.

Jesus said to the people of his day, there is one greater than Solomon here (Matthew 12:42). Solomon was known for his wisdom, for his strategies, for his dominance. But Jesus said one greater than Solomon is here. And he's here right now also. He's right here in our midst. Greater is he that lives inside of us than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). Christ in me, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Christ in me, the mighty one.

That's why for the last few months, one of the names that's been on my heart is El Gibbor, the mighty God (Isaiah 9:6), the man of war (Exodus 15:3), our hero God, our chief. Somebody said master chief. Well, we have the most high master chief.

More with us than with them

As we talk about the army arising, and about some of the things you're seeing in the natural, we want to help you understand what's happening in the supernatural.

When the Syrian army tried to capture the servant of God, Elisha, it was because he was stating what was happening. The intelligence of God was in operation. Whatever they were planning, he was disclosing to the king in another country, and they wanted to capture him. When his servant went out and saw the army, the servant was in despair. And Elisha said, I'm just paraphrasing, do not be in despair. There are more with us than those that are with them (2 Kings 6:8-17).

Just as we're sitting here, the camera is not capturing the others that are with us. You're seeing three persons here, but there are many more than three. So we're talking about this great army that is arising, and you need to be a part of it.

Saved to escape, or sent to reproduce

One of the things I've noticed in the last few years reading the Bible: when I got saved and the gospel was introduced to me, it was introduced in such a way that you're saved to go to heaven. And for many years, many decades, I lived my life that way. I know we have a lot of believers out there living their life the same way. Living it to be raptured and escape.

But the scripture says, as he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).

When Jesus was here, they all watched him setting up his kingdom, and he said it doesn't come with observation (Luke 17:20). But when he left the earth, he left an army. He left sons of God. He left generals to continue his work.

For the last few years it has dawned on me as I read the scripture: the heart of God wasn't only to get us saved and take us to heaven. The heart of God was to send a general, send a son, to replicate, to reproduce, to raise up a generation of warriors, a family like himself.

When we get into 1 Samuel 22 (1 Samuel 22:1-2), we'll see the foreshadowing of that with David, the man of God, the general, the king. When you see those that surrounded him, those he raised up, trained and nurtured, you realize it's just like how they saw that these men had been with Jesus. There was something about Jesus overflowing, imprinted, and now being expressed in these apostles. We see the same thing with the mighty men of David. I'm going to pause there for now. You get me started, you know.

(Minister Boris and the host speak about the mighty men being ordinary, discounted people whom God equipped and brought to the surface like hidden gems.)

Not many mighty are called

The Bible said, look at your calling. Not many mighty are called, not many wise, but God used the foolish things of the world to confound the wise (1 Corinthians 1:26-27). He used the weak things to confound the mighty.

When God sent the prophet Samuel to find the man he had chosen, Samuel went into the house of Jesse. He looked at the first, the second, the third, and on through the various sons, and he said, surely the anointing of the Lord is on this one. Surely it's on this one. And every time, the Lord said, no, not that one. Not that one. And he asked Jesse, isn't there another son? And he said, yes, there is one more. He's tending the sheep. And he said, call him (1 Samuel 16:6-12).

You may not be invited to the table. You may not be invited to the clique or the group. You may not be invited to certain organizations that are considered prestigious, considered even to be apostolic or prophetic, considered to be the group of the day.

When Samuel stepped in there and saw the sons of Jesse, he saw favor, he saw beauty, he saw might. He saw the different things that characterize great leaders. But God said, no, I have chosen someone else. I have chosen someone who was hidden from public view. Hidden from social media.

Exploits in secret

In the age of social media, everybody is showing their exploits. Those who were invited to that meeting were those whose strengths and weaknesses all the people would have recognized, and whose exploits they would have heard of.

But when David slew the lion and the bear, it was done in secret. Nobody captured it on their devices. Nobody was able to upload it to any social media platform. So he was excluded. His name was dropped from the invitation list. His name was dropped from that ordination ceremony. His name was dropped from the group from where they select the next leader.

But God was training. And there's an army God is training right now. You're not seeing their exploits on social media. They're deliberate. Many times they go to share certain things and the Lord would say, no, seal it up. Like John and Daniel (Daniel 12:4; Revelation 10:4). Sometimes they're going to share some revelations and they feel a check in the spirit. The Holy Spirit causes a check. No, it's not time. You're not permitted.

Powerful revelations, extraordinary things, but they're not permitted to share them. Not because they're not anointed. Not because they're not gifted, or because they don't belong in certain circles. There is a time and there's a season.

God is very strategic in how he raises them up, in terms of their permanence, in terms of how and when he causes them to emerge, to come on the scene, in different seasons and different nations. And God sets the environment for them to flourish and grow.

Peter wrote himself off

Look at Peter. Who would have thought that on the day of Pentecost, the pouring out of the Spirit, when God was using his Holy Spirit to bring the nations back under him, he would have used a man like Peter? A man discarded. Even Peter wrote himself off and went back to his old way of life (John 21:3).

Sometimes things in our life, circumstances, failures, can cause us to write ourselves off. Not just people writing us off, but us writing off ourselves. Saying nothing great can come out of our life.

But God is looking and he's saying, that person, I can use them. They're broken. They're humble. They'll not take glory for themselves. They'll not seek self praise, but they'll exalt me. Those are the type of people God is raising up. An army.

Warriors who change atmospheres

With the mighty men around David, some of them were disinherited. Some of them were rejected. Some of them joined David because they didn't like what they were seeing. They were outcasts, the Bible said (1 Samuel 22:2). But there was a grace on David's life. There was a mantle upon his life.

He wasn't just handsome. The fear of God was in him. The spirit of might and power was upon him. He knew how to worship. In difficult times he knew how to take out his harp and play, and as he worshipped, demons fled. In the secret place he worshipped God and changed atmospheres.

And the time came when God provided an opportunity in the palace for him to change atmospheres, to step into a situation where a king was tormented, going through a difficult season because of the evil spirit upon his life. And David played and changed the atmosphere (1 Samuel 16:23).

There's arising a generation of warriors, an army that knows how to change atmospheres.

(Minister Boris shares a story he heard of a minister who fasted for months, was sent by an angel to a foreign country, healed a guard and then a president who had leprosy, and was given a stadium to preach in for three months. The host speaks about David's mighty men who were more talented in some areas but humbled themselves to support him.)

Suppose Jesus loved the limelight

When you shared that, it made me smile. Suppose Jesus had said, I love the fame and the limelight. I don't want to die. If I die and go to heaven, it's the apostles who will be doing the miracles, and their names will be mentioned along with the miracles too.

In an army we need to understand roles and purpose. As you mentioned with David's mighty men, some of them may have been more versed in certain aspects than him, but they served his interests, his mandate, his vision. They ran with it.

When David said he was thirsty, two of them broke through an army just to get water for him. And David poured it out as an offering before the Lord, saying, this is not just water. This is the blood of men (2 Samuel 23:15-17). He loved these guys and they loved him.

Jesus understood this when he came to earth. This is the plan of our Father. He lived for thirty human years. That's just a few seconds in his timeline. Then do ministry for three and a half years, and then be killed. His whole life was lived with that purpose in mind: that he was going to be a seed the Father sowed into the earth. That he was going to be a shoot that would come up in the earth and produce a great harvest for the Father (John 12:24). Everything he did revolved around that.

He chose men, disciples, women. We know about Mary Magdalene and the others. And he imparted his time and his life to them.

Commit it to faithful men

This is where Paul learned this principle, in 2 Timothy 2. I really want to get to verse 2:

"Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ." (2 Timothy 2:1-3)

We stop there. The army is arising.

Paul is saying this to his son like a general or an admiral speaking to somebody under his command. Somebody who has learned from him and watched him. Somebody he dedicated time to, sent to many training courses, sent many times to learn military strategies in various battles and conflicts, as an advisor here and an advisor there.

Paul is saying, look at me now. I've made a very great and good investment in you. I'm pleased with you. I'm reading into that as an apostolic father. I'm pleased with you, and I know our heavenly Father is pleased with you. But what you saw me do with you, and do with Silvanus and Silas and John Mark and so many other sons, so many generals like yourself, I want you to replicate.

Jesus replicated himself. And I replicated Christ in me, through me, in you. And I want you now to replicate after your kind.

Be fruitful, multiply, dominate

I understood the Father's heart in Genesis. Be fruitful and multiply, and have dominion over the earth (Genesis 1:28).

The Father saw a seed. Jesus walked the earth. He was fruitful, he multiplied, and he dominated the world. When he walked on the earth, demons trembled.

We see it with the maniac of Gadara. They bound him with chains and nothing could hold him. But when Jesus stepped out of the boat and his feet landed on the seashore, the man from Gadara ran and bowed down at his feet. And the demons said, have you come to torment us before the time (Matthew 8:28-29; Mark 5:1-7)? You talk about dominance. You talk about authority.

And when Jesus was ascending, he said to the apostles, all authority has been given to me in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18). As the Father sent me, so send I you (John 20:21). Go dominate. Reproduce after your kind and have dominion. I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and nothing shall by any means harm you (Luke 10:19).

Paul shook off the serpent

Paul understood this on the island of Malta at the end of the book of Acts, when the snake came out of the brambles and bit him (Acts 28:3-6). Those who were watching said, this has to be a cruel man. The gods don't even want him to live. He escaped a shipwreck, he nearly died on the sea just to get on land, and they decided to wipe him out.

But Paul understood dominion. Paul shook off the serpent and they waited for him to die. It was a very poisonous snake. They waited for him to die. But he understood all authority. Not some. Not authority just over storms. Not authority just over sicknesses. Authority even over venom. Even over serpents.

There was a serpent that took out Adam and Eve in the garden. But this serpent wasn't able to take out the apostle. The sting of the serpent, the poison, the lies, the deception, was able to take them out. But this serpent, Paul shook him off.

It's time for you to shake off whatever the enemy is doing. Shake him off. His fang cannot hold you. His venom, his lies, his deception cannot kill you. All authority, not some, not a little, all authority has been given to you. Shake them off. Trample.

There is a nature, there is a grace, there is an anointing, there's a power flowing through you to silence the enemy, to neutralize his venom.

He called us sheep, not snakes

It's not by accident the Lord called us sheep. Be harmless as doves, but be wise as serpents (Matthew 10:16). But he never called us snakes. He called us sheep.

Because in sheep there's a natural antibody, an antivenom inside of them. When snakes bite them, just like with Paul, people are looking to see when they'll fall down. But sheep know how to live. There's something greater inside of us than is in every serpent and in the world.

That's the kind of army, that's the kind of people the Master raised up. That's the kind of people David raised up. One of his mighty men went down into a pit on a snowy day and killed a lion (2 Samuel 23:20). Another killed eight hundred men in a battle (2 Samuel 23:8). Another fought until his hand clung to the sword (2 Samuel 23:10).

God is raising up warriors. Nobody will be able to take you out. Paul said, neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor famine, nor persecution, shall be able to separate us from the love of God (Romans 8:35-39). That's the kind of army God is raising up.

David had his failings. Bathsheba (2 Samuel 11). Satan provoked him at one time to number the army of the Lord and a great plague broke out (1 Chronicles 21:1-14). But nothing carried him down.

Warriors, soldiers, go through difficult times. Sometimes they're crying and feel like putting down their sword, quitting the army. But this army the Lord is raising up, nothing will be able to stop us. Nothing will be able to stop you. No snake. Nothing.

We don't leave at the beck of demons

(The host quotes a minister who said men like him don't die before their time.)

Jesus said, those that believe shall never die (John 11:26). I love that verse. And we don't transition before time. We transition at his set and appointed time.

We don't leave the earth at the beck and call of demons and Satan and his followers. They plan, they scheme. But we live in the revelation of Jeremiah 20:11. Read it from the ESV:

"But the Lord is with me as a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble; they will not overcome me. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten." (Jeremiah 20:11)

That's the revelation we live in. Greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).

(Minister Boris speaks against accepting diabetes and other conditions as "family sickness." The host reads 1 John 4:1-6.)

Diabetes doesn't run in my family

You see, that's why I understand that diabetes doesn't run in my family. Because I am from him and of him. I belong to the family of God, and that doesn't run in my family.

When we live according to the flesh, we live according to the dictates of men. Like, you'll die like me. But when you get like Paul in 2 Corinthians 5, he said, henceforth we know no man after the flesh (2 Corinthians 5:16). We understand that we're children of God.

One of the things that really messed up the modern church is that when we read the word saints, it's painted and tainted by a certain organization. But if you bring it over the way it should be, sons of God, we will understand what Jesus came to do.

The New Living Translation puts it this way: "But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world." (1 John 4:4)

A victory parade every minute

I know we have to wrap up this segment. This particular topic will take two or three sessions, because we haven't gotten to 1 Samuel 23 properly. We haven't gotten to Judges 7 properly. We haven't gotten to where you wanted to talk about Moses and the army. But we're showing some characteristics of this army and the great general, our chief admiral.

The one who made a public spectacle of principalities and powers (Colossians 2:15). He paraded, and he's continuing to parade his victory and their defeat. And the Bible said he's doing it through the church (Ephesians 3:10). Through you. Through us.

In the heavenlies and even in the earth there is celebration. There's a parade. Every minute, every second, every day, there's a victory shout from believers worldwide, showing the fall and the defeat of Satan and his powers, his rulers. One Christian, one child of God, one son of God, caught in celebration here, there and everywhere throughout the world. Because they understood. They've conquered.

I'm saying this to you who are watching. You will conquer. I will conquer. You will overcome. I will overcome. When Jesus returns, he's returning for the overcomers (Revelation 3:21). That's what is in our DNA. A DNA to conquer. A DNA to be victorious. A DNA to dominate. As he is, so are we in this world.

They were trying to kill him, trying to bury him, trying to place a big stone so he couldn't come out. While they were killing him, people were coming out of the grave (Matthew 27:51-53). They put him in a tomb. They put soldiers to guard him. They put a big stone. Saying, even if you come out from here, we'll kill you again. The stone was rolled away. The soldiers fled, and they're still running. I'm getting excited.

(The host shares a bishop's saying, "If I die today, don't raise me up, I can get back myself," and asks whether the difference between Paul and Adam was that the serpent's venom worked on one class of man but not on the class of the Lamb.)

That's it. That's revelation.

Same spirit, not a less powerful spirit

Jesus walked on water, raised the dead, drove out demons, the maniac of Gadara. He did wonders. And he said, greater works than these shall you do, because I go to my Father (John 14:12). Greater than that. We've got to ask ourselves: do we believe what Jesus said, or our feelings? The venom of the enemy, the thoughts, low self-esteem, looking at our present circumstances. Does that dictate who we are, or does Jesus?

Are we relying on ourselves, or are we relying on the Holy Ghost? The same Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead, the Bible says, lives in us (Romans 8:11). Not a different spirit. Not a less powerful spirit. The same Spirit.

It's just like David. The same Holy Ghost inside of him that caused him to take down Goliath is the same Spirit that caused his mighty men to take out the four brothers of Goliath (2 Samuel 21:15-22). You see the typology. You see the foreshadowing. You see why God chose to raise up a son of David who will sit on the throne forever.

So if David's mighty men, his disciples, those with him, could take out giants like him, the brothers of Goliath, what is that saying about us?

If Jesus took out the enemy, and he said all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth, and as the Father sent me, as the Father planted me in the earth to raise up a harvest, to raise up sons, so I'm sending you. When they see me, they see the Father (John 14:9).

I was listening to a video the other day where a prophet was speaking with another well known man of God. He said, the other day some angels came and spoke with me and showed me this and that. And the other man said, when they come again, I'll take a photo and send it to you. With a camera. The level of faith, the level of authority, the level of intimacy. When you look at some of those things, it stirs my faith.

(Minister Boris reads 2 Corinthians 5:15-17.)

A citizen of heaven on an ambassadorial post

Let me say this and tease some people as I close. Like Apostle Paul, this is my goal and my heart. We don't live our life in the hope of going to heaven. We live our life as what it is. I'm a citizen of heaven (Philippians 3:20), journeying on the earth.

I believe what the scripture says. I'm a citizen of heaven. So as Paul said, set your mind on things above (Colossians 3:2), as one who visits home and comes back to his vacation spot on earth. Or his ambassadorial post on this planet (2 Corinthians 5:20). That's how we live. Knowing that to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). Knowing that the rapture is when I'll be given a different body. But me, the me inside my spirit, is just journeying and carrying out his work on this ambassadorial post.

When we live our life this way, and we're talking about armies, this is why all those apostles lived the way they did. Peter said, I'm not worthy to be killed like my master, and was crucified upside down. This one died this way, that one died that way.

"I will go"

I'm trying to remember the full vision of a great man of God who has passed, Apostle Neville Johnson. He was in the spirit, watching a vision the Lord took him into, and he kept hearing, I will go. I will go. I will go.

And he saw a whole set of young people standing before a great city with people locked up inside, lost. And he kept hearing, I will go. And the next one saying, I will go. They were excited to go. But when he looked, when a person stepped forward, they were shot. Executed. Killed. That's why they were saying, I will go, I will go.

He said as they martyred one young woman who was chosen, before the bullet hit her, her spirit ascended, and light came out from her and blasted the city. And the entire city was saved.

He was saying that's the kind of army the Lord is raising up on the earth. Many times we see people getting killed and we don't understand what's happening. They're transitioning, but their transitioning is affecting nations and cities. There's an army.

(The host closes, charging viewers to meditate on the word. Apostle Lambert adds a brief closing thought.)

You see, did Moses die? God put him to sleep (Deuteronomy 34:5-6). And that's why when you hear some of these men talk, they'll talk in such a manner.

(Minister Boris closes in prayer.)
